Apply now Project Manager / Estimator - Halifax Area Salary: Negotiable based on Experience. Full Time: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5:30pm - Immediate start available. An amazing opportunity has come up due to growth in the company to join a market leading manufacturer of retail based solutions in Halifax. You will be working as part of a well established company in the production side of the company and will be expected to liaise with all other areas of the business. Some of your responsibilities: Accurately prepare quotes from client enquiries.Ensure all quotes are processed in a timely manner.Consult with clients, suppliers and personnel in other departments to discuss estimates and resolve issues.Be commercially aware regarding competitive estimates with a view of offering best cost solutions.Talk with suppliers to obtain material prices and lead times.Aid in purchasing of material when necessary.Prepare handover documents to production.Project manage jobs through production and install ensuring they are delivered on time, to a high quality and within budget.Assists in developing the production schedule.Responding quickly to short lead times to satisfy the needs of customers. Experience and requirements: You will have previously worked in a manufacturing environment with proven experience in an estimating and/or project management role.Pro-active, able to work on own initiative and also follow instruction when given.Be computer literate.Analytical, strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with team members.Have an understanding of various materials including timber, acrylic, paint finishes and print media.Be fully conversant with workshop machinery and their functionality coupled with performance capabilities and applicationsKnowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably in any of our in-house disciplines.Ability to prioritise work.Remaining calm under pressure.
