Apply now SEND teaching assistant with a specialism in Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) required for a vibrant primary Special School in Barnet North London. SEND T.A with SLD required for 1:1 interventions and group work. Daily rate £70- £90 per day Free ongoing CPD courses provided to the right candidates. SEND T.A Specification Timeplan Education are looking for an energetic, consistent and strong willed T.A with previous experience of working with pupils with SLD and other pupils with a statement. You will work closely with pupils who have little or no speech development, pupils who have difficulties with social development and display challenging behaviour. You maybe required to help with personal care which includes dressing, washing and eating. The role: Assisting the class teacher and supporting pupils with various SEND needsBuild relationships with pupils and staff a likePromote communication through the use of Makaton & PECSEnsure that the daily routine set out for each child is met Successful candidates must have the following: A minimum of 2 months experience supporting special needs children within mainstream or a SEND provisionMust have a basic understanding SLD and other associated needsGood behavioural management and great communication skillsRole would be ideal for someone who has an NVQ level 3 or Degree qualified.
