This is a role for an astute, diligent and hard hitting commercial buyer who can improve ways of working within the category and deliver on the ambitious growth plans for the category and report directly to Head of Buying/ Buying Director. Description As Senior Buyer you will be responsible for Full accountability for their category performance, delivery on targets through ranging and developing a trend driven product range to maximise profitabilityWorking with Head of Buying/ Buying Director to develop and deliver category strategyP&L responsibility for CategorySourcing and selecting suppliers who are at the forefront of their industry to provide a strong range of good, better best productsBuilding Long term commercial relationships with suppliers and ensuring maximal margin and profitabilityManaging 2/3 direct reports Profile The Successful Senior Buyer will Have a very strong background in retail buying with multiple category experienceHave great supplier networks and a track record of delivering category growth and over achievementHave a strong leadership style, setting example to both subordinates and more junior team membersBe a very commercial negotiator, look at long term propositions and be able to identify with customer base to build trend driven rangesBe a self started and able to prioritise workload to hit short term and long term goalsBe able to commute to South West London Job Offer The Successful Senior Buyer will be based from the South West London offices. The salary on offer is dependent on experience and ability and performance at interview, + car allowance + bonus, pension and health care.
