Pulse provides safe, effective social care and health support services to people in their own environment. We work as a trusted partner with a variety of organisations to provide 'care packages' in the community. These include hospitals and primary care trusts, local authorities, GPs, charities, case-management companies and voluntary organisations as well as private individuals. To do this, we require a confident and passionate Regional Nurse Team Leader to join our friendly, hard working team of Nurses within London. Reporting to the Operations Manager and Group Clinical Director, the Regional Nurse Team Leader is responsible for ensuring high quality clinical care is delivered within all care packages across the London region through management of our Nurses and Support Workers. The role will require you to manage Nurses and Support Workers within all care packages across your designated area. This will be a mixture of working within the community and with the teams at our Pulse Community Healthcare offices within London City Centre. Your role will focus on ensuring we are providing high quality and safe clinical practice at all times and the direction of a team of Nurses supplying care packages within the community. Whilst undertaking all below tasks for this role you will have the full support of a central clinical governance team. Responsibilities will include: To train, support and advise community nurses for specific packages of complex care, providing assessment, intervention and clinical guidance as appropriate. To ensure all community nurses within designated region are consistently reviewing care packages in accordance with their clinical level. Escalating any concerns to the Group Clinical Director accordingly and assisting with any incidents or complaints. To provide hands on support to the branches within the region when required Responsible for the recruitment and development of Nurses across the South West including all aspects of appraisals, training, management and spot checks on practice. To ensure all branches within the Region are in compliance with relevant quality policies and procedures and legislative requirements and keeping up to date with changes as determined by the Company, Clinical Governance and Quality and Compliance team Maintaining own skills and competencies, and current NMC registration As an ideal candidate for this role, the following is essential - A Registered General Nurse Band 6 (Valid NMC PIN is essential) Have excellent experience within an ITU or HDU environment Be a car owner and able to drive due to level of travel / community work within this post You will be passionate about delivering the highest standard of clinical care, whilst maintaining the clients rights towards choice and independence wherever possible Be adaptable and versatile in your approach to work Display great people management skills and be an excellent communicator within your supported teams Be able to 'lead from the front' and take a 'hands on' approach towards work For more information on this excellent opportunity or to apply for this role please contact Laura Gee at Pulse Community Healthcare or follow the link below.
