Apply now Experienced Senior Trading Underwriter (Property/Casualty) sought to join an existing team in Manchester. Responsibilities:Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating annual rules. Develop and collaborate on referrals and other business related needs. Develop and maintain relationships with Brokers etc, in support of business retention and acquisition and works with customers and distributors to determine their insurance related needs and provide solutions. Supports the sales culture and proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities. Complete detailed opportunity assessment with key distributors to identify growth opportunities. Qualify accounts and make broker/customer and on-sight calls with a planned and well-prepared purpose. Role requirements:Strong trading relationships and knowledge of BrokersExcellent oral and written communication skills. In-depth knowledge of Underwriting and regulatory guidelines within Property / Casualty Underwriting.Strong negotiation and presentation skills and ability to effectively assess risk. Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills reflective of progression of positions of increasing responsibility. Superior skills in relationship building, active listening, needs analysis and win-win negotiating. Solid knowledge of processing methods and workflow procedures, and basic knowledge of insurance underwriting and regulations for assigned territories.
