What does the role involve? You will be providing care and support to adults affected by and recovering from mental health problems or learning disabilities. Support is provided to people in accommodation that meets their support needs. These include residential 24 hour staffed services, semi supported accommodation and supporting individuals living in their own homes in the community. Daily duties will include: Supporting service users form filling & Making benefit claims as necessaryTo maintain daily contact with service users to check on their welfare and provide support as set out in their care planTo encourage & Support service users to take part in daily activities of interest to themTo support & encourage those service users who are seeking employment to find a suitable postLiaising with external agencies (such as social workers, community mental health teams etc)To assist & support service users with activities such as shopping & attending appointments. This is a part time role. 25 hours per week & will include working a mixture of shifts. Pay rates start at £8.40-£9.00p/h and will be reviewed after a probationary period of working for successful carers. What are we Offering?
