Apply now Support Worker Flexible shifts are available full time or to supplement your current job. The shifts are within a private residential support setting in Herefordshire. Work also available within surrounding counties if you live further afield.Do you want to join an extensive network of people who are providing first class care to young adults who have a severe learning disability, autism, communication difficulties, challenging behaviours, mental health and other complex needs whilst working in a fast-paced and rewarding environment?Your purpose will be to demonstrate compassion, empathy and a person-centred approach to caring for young people. You will be providing personal care to residents as well as supporting them in a wide range of learning, development and social activities including arts and crafts, cookery, music, gardening, swimming, shopping trips and social occasions. Creating a happy, safe and caring environment is paramount, as this will enable the residents to learn and communicate with confidence. Being responsible for the safeguarding of young people and adhering to the relevant safeguarding policies and procedures is crucial as well as being aware that you will need to provide individual or group interaction, care and support. Your support will enable the residents to have a meaningful presence within the community, make their own choices and decisions as well as participate in relationships with their family and others.It is important that core values are always at the forefront of what you do.
