Apply now Support Worker needed for young people support across Gloucestershire Your new company You will be working with a local support provider who focuses on promoting tenant independence and move on services for vulnerable service users with backgrounds in homelessness, mental health and substance misuse. Your new role You will be working as a Support Worker supporting vulnerable service users with complex needs towards independence. You will be working on a full time temporary to permanent position, promoting independence and move on services. As a support worker you will be working a full time temporary position with a potential to go permanent. As a support worker you will be working on a shift basis with evenings, weekends and days required. You will carry out support plans, promoting service user independence, helping service users move on from the service. As a support worker you will be working with service users with complex needs, supporting young people with various backgrounds which may include mental health, substance misuse and homelessness. You will be covering the Gloucestershire area including Cheltenham, Gloucester and Stroud. As a support worker you will be carrying out support plans, tenancy advice and housing management support. As a support worker you will respond to emergency and crisis situations by providing support, advice, signposting or direct interventions as necessary. As a support worker you will champion service user empowerment, encouraging the services on offer are accessible and relevant.What you'll need to succeed To be a successful support worker you must have working knowledge in supported housing and have working experience in complex needs. To be a successful support worker you must have strong knowledge in support plans, be able to communicate with different backgrounds and be passionate about helping people. You must have access to a car and have a clean driving license.
