Apply now Support Worker needed for local homeless shelter in Bath Your new companyYou will be working for a leading regional Homeless Organisation who dedicates its services to helping homeless off the street by providing a vast variety of projects and support.Your new roleYou'll be working as a Support Worker for a ongoing temporary contract. You will be working on a full time basis for 37.5 hours per week. As a Support Worker you will be providing practical support to service users with a variety of backgrounds predominately homelessness but this may include mental health, substance misuse and domestic violence, supporting them to move on and promoting independence. You'll be giving tenancy advice whilst also signposting service users to the correct authorities in regards to benefits and education. What you'll need to succeedTo be a successful Support Worker you must have a good knowledge of the services available to service users and also previous experience of working within homelessness, mental health and substance misuse. You must have the ability to communicate with people from all background and a strong knowledge of creating and executing support plans.What you'll get in returnNot only will you be working for a organisation who actively promotes development from within but also offers a highly competitive rate.
