A rewarding opportunity for a bright Engineer with a good understanding of Electronics and Software development within the medical device industry. You'll have strong creative and technical abilities, have experience with design for low and high volume manufacture as well as having practical experience of working to medical device industry specific regulatory requirements. Your academic background:• You will be qualified to a minimum of 2.1 Bachelors Degree level in an Engineering discipline gained from a leading University.• A relevant Masters / PhD would also be highly advantageous. Your Experience should include:• Concept generation.• Engineering Analysis and detail Design.• Design for high reliability.• Quality management Systems such as ISO 13485 and 21CFR820.• Electronic device safety to IEC 60801.• Software lifecycle to IEC 62304.• Commercial experience of medical device / drug delivery development. Working within a talented multidisciplinary team, the successful Consultant Electronics / Software Engineer will take responsibility for developing innovative electronic or software designs as well as leading projects for the medical and drug delivery device development clients. You will get to see your ideas launched into real world products, making a real difference to the healthcare sector.A background of working within a medical device development company, the engineering department of a medical or pharmaceutical company or a technical consultancy would be ideal.
