Apply now Excellent opportunity has arisen for a Trading Underwriter - Property & Casualty to join an existing team in Manchester. The role will be to analyse and underwrite new and renewal business across the commercial products and provide support and under writing expertise and services to brokers and customers. Duties include underwriting new and renewal business, administering/monitoring underwriting rules, proactively seeking renewal and new account opportunities and providing a first class service and building business relationships with brokers and customers. Making broker/customer and on-sight calls with a planned and well-prepared purpose and cross-selling other lines. Candidates must have strong knowledge of underwriting philosophy and techniques, in-depth knowledge of lines of business and legal guidelines and demonstrate technical knowledge and skills. The role requires excellent communication and time management skills, strong negotiation skills and ability to deliver results and build relationships. Preferably Dip CII qualified or working towards.
