Apply now Unit Nurse Manger Leigh, Greater Manchester £16,00 per hour Full Time Our Client is looking to recruit a passionate, dedicated and motivated unit Manager nurse to lead a new service due to open in May 2018. It is a 30 bed service for adults with complex needs, divided into three 10-bed units (including two specialist bariatric bedroom suites). This role plays a key part in the daily running of the home of complex mental health needs, working closely with the Registered Manager, ensuring that the home runs effectively and efficiently and that the care provided is of the highest quality. Responsibilities of Unit Nurse manager Conducting pre-admission assessments, assessing client care requirements Working with the MDT to ensure that care provided is appropriate and relevant to the individual's care packageProvide safe and effective processes for the ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording and disposal of drugsMaintain cost effective controls of all clinical supplies (including ordering, storage, stock rotation and correct usage)Review and document care plans on a regular basisPositively promote the homeParticipate in an on-call system to support the nurse in chargeParticipate in recruitment, supervision and training of staffDeputising for the Registered Manager as necessaryReport all compliments, comments and complaintsComplying with all legal and regulatory policies and proceduresPromoting choice, independence, dignity and respectAdhering to the NMC Code and updating your professional knowledge You should hold a level 1 nursing qualification (RGN/RMN/RNLD) and have a current PIN Successful candidates of the Unit manager Nurse position will be contacted within 2 weeks of application.
