Apply now Vehicle Damage Assessor Basildon £30,000 - £40,000 We work in partnership with a leading organisation in the Accident repair field, for crash and due to continued growth, we now have a fantastic career opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Estimator / Vehicle Damage assessor / VDA for our clients Basildon site This job role is a VDA / vehicle damage assessor / Estimator position and requires an experienced person. Job Details: VDA / Estimator / Vehicle Damage Assessor To inspect damaged vehicles and assess the full extent of the damage sustained, assess the cost of repair and time scales Constantly reviewing repair best practices to ensure ARC repairs are cost- effectiveLiaison with the policyholder and engineering function where vehicles are borderline repairable or beyond economical repairThe constant delivery of service SLA's, ensuring customers are contacted regarding repairs and non related damage.Where applicable agree amended repair hours with the workshop leadership teams and techniciansTo identify the correct prescribed repair method To prepare computerised and manual estimates and to accurately record these, maintaining up-to-date records of all estimates To obtain from insurance companies authority to proceed with repair to a vehicle and to confirm the cost of the repair To communicate effectively with customers, engineers and technicians to ensure understanding of correct vehicle repair methodology To ensure that any amendment to repair work is authorised by the insurance company Once authorisation has been gained, to liaise with the body shop personnel and make sure that they understand fully the prescribed repair method Job Experience: The Successful VDA / Estimator / Vehicle Damage Assessor will have: Audatex experience is essentialATA qualification would be an advantageNVQ Level 1, 2 & 3 in vehicle body repair ideallyExperience in a body shop or accident repair environment Company benefits: VDA / Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator Based on a 35 - 40-hour week - Monday to Friday.
