Apply now THE COMPANYWestray Recruitment Consultants is looking to recruit experienced CNC Machinists with a strong background in either CNC Milling or CNC Turning to commence work within our clients engineering facility based in the Gateshead and Houghton-le-Spring area. The scope of work will involve a mixture of both bespoke one offs, to high volume batch work. Applicants must be able to machine to precision. Candidates must also be able to programme CNC machining centres.THE ROLE Programming, setting and operating either CNC Milling or CNC Turning centresWorking to engineering drawingsEnsuring a high degree of precision, working to fine toleranceSelf-Inspection duties using precision measuring equipmentCompleting job cards and progressing works through instructionsReplacing tools and planning the order of machine works THE EXPERIENCE Candidates must be able to programme either CNC Milling or CNC Turning centres from scratchApplicants must be able to machine to precisionA proven ability to programme offlineExperienced working with Fanuc, Hass or Heidenhain controlsIt could prove beneficial to have experience using AlphaCAM software to aid programming but fill training can be provided in this areaMust be competent to set and operate machining centres, using multiple axis CNC machineryMust have worked within an engineering setting and demonstrate the ability to CNC mill or CNC Turn a variety of metals THE CONTRACTThis position is a permanent role from day one. The role comprises of a 2 shift rotation consisting of days and back shift. The role does not usually require Friday working, but if so this is considered as an overtime day.THE SALARYThe position comes with highly competitive pay rates in keeping with expected industry standards.
